Sophia + Joel embodied everything we love about CLAY couples. They were a delight to work with from the moment they waked in our doors, until the moment the left during their grand exit. Sophia + Joel have a presence about them that just makes you want to be around them. From their inviting nature to their sleek modern style, everything about them and their day fit perfectly at CLAY.

CLAY’s modern, industrial feel was the perfect backdrop to bring S+Js celebration to life. They personalized their day with custom made white pillars, white florals and candlelight bouncing in every corner. More than the way they decorated the space, it was who they filled the space with. One hundred and twenty-five of their closest family and friends gathered around them as they said “I do” and danced the night away. To say the least you could feel the love.

S+J opted for a first look with their photographer. This is something we highly recommend to take stress out of your wedding day timeline. It also allows you two to spend more time together on your wedding day. This first look is one that we still talk about. Sophia wore an incredible a + b Denver gown that made all our jaws hit the ground. Joel’s face says it all, and we have to agree. It was the perfect dress for her and for the vision and style of their wedding day!

Their ceremony was held on site and was personalized from start to finish. From beautiful worship music to a foot washing ceremony, S+Js ceremony was one that brought our entire staff to tears and captivated every guests.

Their ceremony was followed by a flip to the reception where instead of a traditional catering, they opted for a 16 foot charcuterie board that not only was delicious, but was such a fun experience for their guests. Not long after dinner, the couple made a quick outfit change to honor Joel’s family heritage and they took to the dance floor. The dancing didn’t stop from the moment the dance floor opened until the grand exit. It was a party no guest will soon forget.
